There are many software packages with which you can paste notes on the Windows desktop. Windows 11 even includes an accessory to add desktop stickers. However, few of those apps allow you to paste notes into browser page tabs.
However, there are some sticky note extensions available for Google Chrome and Firefox. These plugins allow you to paste notes directly into web pages. Then you can add handy reminders, shopping or to-do lists, or any other text-based note form to specific pages. Here’s how to add sticky notes in Chrome and Firefox with three alternative extensions.
How to Add Sticky Notes to Chrome Pages with Beanote
Beanote is a note-taking extension for Chrome, with which you can add sticky notes and apply annotations to pages. It incorporates an additional text highlighting feature, which is a useful addition. To install this extension, click the Add to Chrome button on the Beanote page linked below. Check out our guide for more details on how to install and manage Chrome extensions.
After installing Beanote, you can use it on a web page right away. Right-click on an area of a page to add a note to and select the create sticky note context option. Then enter some text on the sticky note that appears.
The note will change to an icon when you click outside of it. Moving the cursor over the notification icon shows the content. You can click the icon to reopen the note text box, from which you can edit or delete the sticky note.
Alternatively, you can select full-size sticky notes so they always stay on the page. To do that, click the pin button on the note. Those larger notes will overlap the page content, so it’s best to place them in blank areas of web pages.
Or you can apply a note to a piece of text on a web page. Select a piece of text to add a sticker by dragging your cursor over it. Click on the Create a sticky note here in the small toolbar that appears. Enter text in the note to create it. You will then see a small icon next to the highlighted text you added the note to.
You’ll probably notice that the Beanote toolbar also has a pencil highlighting option. click that Highlighted selected text option to add a highlight without a note on top. You can change the highlight color by clicking on your text and selecting the circle palette option.
You can view and access all your saved notes from within the Beanote extension. Press Chrome extensions button and click Beanote about him installed eyelash. How to Add Sticky Notes to Chrome Pages with Note Anywhere
Note Anywhere is another Chrome extension that allows you to add sticky notes to pages via the context menu, much like Beanote. However, this plugin includes some additional formatting and color options for notes. You can add this note-taking extension to Chrome from the Note Anywhere page linked at the bottom of this section.
When you’ve added Note Anywhere to Chrome, open a webpage to paste a note. Right-click somewhere on that web page to select add note here. Write the content inside the tag. You can then change the position of the sticky note on the web page by dragging it with your cursor.
If you want to remove the note or change its color, click the ellipsis (three dots) button at the top left of the sticky note. Select one of the alternate colors on the bar. Or click on the Erase option to remove the notification.
You can access more note anywhere options by clicking the extension’s menu/toolbar button. How to add notes to Firefox pages with Sticky Note
Firefox users can stick notes on pages with the Sticky Notes plugin for Mozilla’s flagship browser. That extension does the same thing as Beanote and Note Anywhere, but also adds a handy notes sidebar to access them. You can install it from the Sticky Notes plugins page below.
This plugin integrates with the Firefox context menu much like the others. Open a page to include a note, right-click anywhere and select Adhesive notes > C.eat sticky. You can then enter some content on a sticky note. Left-click on the sticker to move it to a new position on the page.
The upper right corner of the sticker includes a couple of buttons. One is a tagging option, you can click it to add a tag. The other is an ellipsis menu button that includes a edit color option. Click on that option to select a different color for your note.
To view the sidebar for this plugin, click Adhesive notes in the Firefox toolbar. select Sidebar Sticky List in the extension menu. The sidebar includes a list of dates for the added notes. Clicking on the dates shows the added notes. Select a note to view its content. You will need to double-click the content of a note to open its page.

Create sticky notes in your browser with web apps
In addition to the above extensions, you can create sticky notes in any browser with online apps like Pin up Y linen. Those web apps allow you to add notes in separate tabs of the bulletin board in your browser. However, you cannot paste notes on pages with Pinup or lino. Get Sticking in Google Chrome and Firefox
Beanote, Sticky Notes, and Note Anywhere are good extensions for creating notes in Chrome and Firefox. With them, you can add helpful notes that apply specifically to the pages or sites they’re pinned to. Although there are alternative notepad extensions available, the former offer more unique flexibility for pasting notes onto pages.
